I was wondering if I could get some information on all inclusive packages from someone who has used these packages and from someone who has not. What I am wondering is do you really save more money going all inclusive? Or is it cheaper to book everything seperatly. I would imagine it would be easier to go all inclusive, but which really saves you money in the end? Thanks

All inclusive packages work well for people who dont travel a lot or like all the hassles of extra costs taken out of the way. Basically an all inclusive type vacation is about relaxing and staying more then likely at that one resort. I usually see couples take it for honeymoons or romantic get aways. If you have traveled alot you will know how to visit areas and save money doing it without worries. :)

Well I don't travel a whole lot. I think I will investigate both and see what I come up with.Thank you and have a great day.

All inclusive is great for those that aren't seasoned travelers. You get everything for the most part you need in the package. It depends on the package you get to determine quality. We have done all inclusive and personally it worked out well for us. I don't think the cost would have been too much different either way.

I've had friends and relatives who have taken all inclusive trips and they say that that is the way to go!! You don't have to worry about anything and the cost is well worth it.

On some inclusive trips that I have heard it means paying an X amount of extra dollars for your food and liquor. For someone like myself and my husband, we don't drink that much and when we travel we usually have a big breakfast, snack around lunch and then eat dinner. So for someone who doesn't typically eat three meals a day I don't think it's worth it for us to go all inclusive.

My understanding is that alcohol is NEVER included. It's your lodging and your meals and sometimes shows that you're paying for. Any massages, salon visits, shore excursions, adventures, or activities are also not included. Gratuities are not included either.

Oh, but to the drunk's delight often drinks *ARE* provided. It might not be common in the USA... but you might find elsewhere that beer is cheaper than soft drinks!

We are taking our first vacation in April of 08. We are giong to Jamaica, and doing the all inclusive. We have talked to many people that take advantage of the all inclusive and wouldn't have it any other way. ALL DRINKS..whether alcoholic or soft drinks are included, and ALL your food is included. Air port taxes, transfer fees, are included. You can leave the resort and go to the towns nearby, eat and do what ever you want. We checked into the regular hotels, around the island, and by the time you pay for that, your food and drinks (soda or alcoholic, which I might add is expensive)it all adds up to about the same. We are looking forward to being able to lay on a beach, drink in hand (whatever it might be) and not having to change to eat if we so choose. But we are looking to go into town and browse and help support the Jamaican people by buying some of the products as well. Whatever you choose.....it will all be worth it!!
