May i suggest this website for more information on where [and the cost] to scuba dive in the Bahamas. It's a good site and I have used it before for information. Scuba Diving is such an unforgettable experience!

I am traveling to the Bahamas in FEbruary and my husband would like to scuba dive while we're there. I'm kind of nervous about it myself but I'm sure the instructors there will make me at ease. How young is too young for children to scuba dive?

Everything I found is that children have to be at least 12 to scuba and accompanied by an adult.

I'm with TexasGal - 12 and over should be your general rule of thumb. I think any younger and that could pose some problems. Better to be safe than sorry.

I don't think anyone younger than 12 is even ALLOWED to dive. Scuba rules. And what responsible parent is going to want a child younger than that to do anything not age appropriate? LOL!

I wouldn't let my child scuba dive until he was at least 16 years old. I just get a little paranoid around the water. I'm sure there are lots of 12 year olds that do scuba dive out there but I wouldn't let my 12 year old do it.

I was 12 when I first scuba dived. I was with my older brothers and parents. Gosh, I enjoyed it so much.I think the minimum age requirement has been lowered to 10 years old already.
