Yahoo! Answers: putting film prints on to a cd?

Thank author of this post/commentI went to africa and to the dominican republic a few years ago and i didn't have a digital camera. now I am wanting to put them online. Do I bring in the photos to a Walgreens or CVS and have them put them on a cd? Or would I bring in the negatives? I'm just not sure how this works! Thanks all!

did you use a film camera? if so bring the film to photo centers near to you which offers to develop films from cameras. Or you can scan the photos and put it on a cd or flash drive then print it in any digital studios near you.

I just don't know how they do the process if you bring with you the negatives. But if you can bring the photos and have them scanned so you can upload them online, much better. You should really treasure the good shots you took from your Dominica Republic tour because the views and the natural attractions are worth keeping. I'm glad I was born in the digital world because I can take photos as many as I can when I visit the Dominican Republic.

okay you have to bring your film prints to a developing center. after it is developed, scan. download.that's it you are ready to go. it is not really that fussy or complicated. it is just done differently. it is the old way of handling photographs that is in my own opinion is quite interesting. it is vintage. my mom and dad grow in this era and i am happy you brought it up
