What's the best way to surf when your vision is really bad? I'm always afraid of losing my contacts in the water.

Hi Surfer Chick!I don't think you'll lose your contacts in the water. Use soft contacts and don't open your eyes under water. I've surfed many times wearing my contacts! I'm seriously contemplating surgery.

I had a chance to go surfing and managed not to lose my contacts when I wiped out. I doubt if you will lose them.

I'm more of a diver than a surfer... but I know how to surf a little. I wear contacts whenever I surf because my vision isn't good as before. I haven't lost a single one, so don't worry.

I wear contacts too and plan to do a little surfing this vacation. So I'm glad to know that I can surf with my contacts. Do you guys have any problem with the water drying out the contacts?

I don't know about surfing but my contacts tend to get dry when I go swimming. I started bringing my glasses and taking them off when I swim. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
