My friend and I are thinking of finally visiting Mexico. I wanted to ask all the travellors who have been there before. What places did you enjoy the best? Why?

I have been to Mazatlan, Mexico before and enjoyed myself very much. It is quite popular amongst those spring breakers but if you go when it's not inundated with these college kids it is a really great town to visit.

I'll check that place out then. Thank you for commenting :) I wish more people would! I love getting different opinions.

I have heard Acapulco is very nice if you want to go somewhere romantic, or if you are even just the single traveller. Acapulco has a little bit of everything for everyone.

There's the Mexico you drive to and the Mexico you fly to. I haven't been to any of the nice parts of Mexico that you fly to. I've only been to Tijuana, Rosarito Beach, and Ensenada. They're all border cities, very depressed, and not pretty at all.

Has anybody visited Palenque? How about Oaxaca City? I have googled both and they sound pretty nice! But wanted to ask if anybody has had any experience in these places?

I haven't. Sorry. I should ask my parents if they have. They've traveled to many different places in Mexico and have always enjoyed where they've gone.

I've heard from people who have driven to Mexico that it is economically depressed but some of the areas which are are newer where the resorts are obviously are clean and well taken care of. It all depends on where you stay. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
