An Engine Problem Destroyed My Sailing HolidayLily (72.155.137.144) -
I had been on a bad boat ride before in the states. The engine kept dying out on the river. It is easy to get frustrated but like the article talks about just make the best of it. I did learn the importance of going for a newer ship next time.

Great article. Ive had clients who received a full refund for similar incidents on a cruise line. Usually they will reimburse you for time loss or even days missed. Usually they will give you a voucher to cruise again or a discount on your next cruise with them. Never money back.

For God's sake it is a sail boat. Use the sails. I have had a recurring problem with my sail boat's engine quitting on me. At first it was coming close to ruining the outings, however, we just hoisted the sail and got real good at coming into the mooring ball or the dock under sail. It turned out that the fuel tank had a piece of plastic in it and it would get sucked to the intake tube and shut off the fuel supply. Bottom line is why let something like no engine ruin the sail. If you have wind you have all you need, save a sundowner or two.

Sailing is a nicer experience too!
